Homeowners across DC earned a major victory this week - the proposed "mansion tax" on sales over $1,000,000 was withdrawn.
Hundreds of real estate professionals and homeowners reached out to the DC Council, urging them to oppose this measure.
However, Councilmember Grosso has introduced a similar measure as a freestanding bill.
The bill, as written, would increase annual residential property taxes on homes valued at $1.5 million or more, and homes valued at $5 million or more would be hit with an additional hike.
We urge all DC homeowners and prospective buyers to contact your representative to oppose Councilmember Grosso's new bill.
